RE: [RC] Wec Race - Nik Isahak AbdullahSteve,I do not think it has to do with game plan or poor captaincy.Winning at that speed means either you have it or you dont.And USA is no where near for the team event and a million years away for the individual event. I dare say if Tevis is internationalised tomorrow it is possible an Australian,Italian or French may win it.Or even UAE. The biological system of the arabian has not changed over the last 100 years but the sciences and art of "war" has. No one question Carl Lewis how he condition himself for his races ,the superb environment athletes like him enjoyed in the USA or the astronomical sum he earned,we the world over just marvel and envy him.!Similarly when Valerie Kanavy and her bevy of helpers and assistants "went to town" and won the WEC in 1998 no one cried foul.Here is a superb ambassador for her country and with the whole system backing her, she won! If you guys have an abhorrence to learn from the Maktoums,Pierre Cazes,the Tofts or Fiasto Fiarucci may know part of the answer.Truth oftentime can be a bitter pill to swallow!
