Yep this sure presents a positive image of endurance riding. Folks I don't know about you but this is not my sport. This is disgusting. Truman Truman, you have consistently been one of the ones pushing to have more drug testing at AERC rides. I would think that if you were consistent in your logic, you would be cheering that the FEI has the cojones to not only test, but to censure the guilty by removing placement promptly and swiftly, despite hostile politics. I don't find this disgusting (well, yes, it is disgusting that the horse had an illegal substance on board), but rather I find it a very affirmative statement that the FEI rules about horse care do have some pretty sharp teeth. Chalk one up to the FEI. (And also chalk one up to the FEI for having a thorough investigation of the deaths in Spain, with recommendations for prevention of future such incidents.) Sometimes I think you simply have an agenda to black the eye of the FEI, when you condemn the organization for doing the very things that you urge AERC to do...
