Re: [RC] Cold - Suzi Maiorisi

Yep, I'll take this to the 112 degree freak thing we had in October right after Rita hit...what a year for Tx weather!

It's cold here in East Texas, too.  We had freezing rain last night...this morning the vehicles were coated in a sheet of ice.  I had to have my husband get the door open on the car this morning...I wasn't able to pull/jerk on it hard enough to break the ice without my broken rib killing me!  LOL  And we had to go break ice on the horse tanks.  We don't get enough freezing weather here to justify heaters on the water tanks...we just bust the ice when they freeze.  But it's supposed to warm up starting tomorrow, and be really nice (around 60) this weekend.  :)

Dawn in East Texas (who pefers cold to the stifling heat/humidity we have 6-7 months of the year!)

So yesterday, I went outside to feed in the morning and Doimas was standing there, staring at the big water tank, occassionally touching the surface with his nose.  Ice, my friends.  35 miles west of Phoenix!  He wasn't quite sure what to do.  I had to use one of his orange highway cones (my tax dollars at work) to brake thru.  It had a solid top layer.

Now, you may think this is whining, but the last time I saw snow was 18 years ago.  I do not do cold, hence the reason for living in the desert.  But it's here this week.
