[RC] NEW FEI registration for riders and horses - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Jan Stevens circlebarranch@xxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Just a note to all FEI/International Riders or those who might be interested in participating in such. This is especially important for those who are interested in riding in the FEI portion of the 100 mile ride at the Fun In The Sun Ride on March 5, 2006 in Florida. According to this you will not be able to register for your FEI number at the ride?you will need to do this at least 4 weeks before the ride. Plus if you are planning on passporting a horse you need to get on it right away because you need the FEI number 1st and then apply for the passport (this could take up to 6-8 weeks). Thanks, Jan Stevens Circlebarranch at rangeweb dot net Instituted by the FEI as of January 1, 2006 2006 USEF/ FEI HORSE AND RIDER REGISTRATION As approved by the 2005 FEI General Assembly, all horses and riders competing in FEI events in all disciplines must annually register with the FEI. Additionally, this will assist the FEI in gathering valuable information regarding international equestrian sports such as demographics, pedigrees, and vital statistics. What must competitors do to get an FEI Registration number? The FEI Registration applications are available on the USEF website, www.usef.org . For those without internet access, USEF can fax or mail the form upon request. Please note all horses MUST have an active Horse Recording before an FEI Registration number can be issued. This information can be found on the FEI website, www.horsesport.org under each respective discipline. Click on Registration Lists to access riders and horses. Will competitors with pending numbers be allowed to participate in FEI competitions? No. A competitor must have active FEI registrations for themselves and their horses before starting an FEI competition. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. Competitors MAY NOT sign up for FEI Registration numbers at the competition, and they MAY NOT be allowed to participate if they do not have FEI Registration numbers. USEF must receive the necessary application forms no later than four weeks prior to the first day of competition. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
