Re: [RC] riding with a camera - Kari HanesAngie,The resolution falls apart because digital cameras are based on pixels/dots per inch. The larger you make the photo the larger the pixels stretch. Most low-res digital photos are at 72 dpi (dots per inch). You should be able to set your camera to a higher resolution, it won't hold as many pictures but the quality (dpi) will be higher. I've been lucky to get some decent shots even at a fast trot, or canter. I take lots of videos of sports with a Sony Mini DV camera. I can download the film onto a Mac G-5 computer and make a jpg off of one frame of film. The resolution is low so it doesn't touch a 35 mm there...but boy can I get some great stop action shots. It's great for taking photos of a horse in action...or even posed. Just moooove that mouse till the ears tip forward or they're at the biggest poit of their stride and snap. :-) I still don't understand why if I enlarge the photo to a 5x7 the resolution falls apart...but it still looks great on my computer wallpaper or if I project it on a 10' screen with an lcd projector. :-P Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
