There are several things to consider. Two different vets will "grade" 
the same gut sounds differently. Secondly a B gut sound at the first 
check might just be normal for the horse. My horse has been doing 50's 
for 11 years and can't remember him not having at B on guts at the first 
check. He drinks on the first look. In fact he will (and has drank 2 
miles out). He eats like every bite is his last meal. If he ever got an 
A at the first check on guts - then I would worry - since that is not 
normal.
