RE: [RC] LD BC - heidiOne could well ponder the idea that perhaps more people are more willing to ride LD rides (be they beginners, oldsters, or whoever) in regions that are more LD-friendly...If you're considering PS to be "less LD-friendly" I can tell you that there are a LOT of riders at all rides, including LOTS and LOTS of LD riders. And my first year (which was in the PS) when I did LD to learn the sport, I NEVER felt like anyone was unfriendly to LD riders. Nope, Nicole, my post was a specific response to a comment about low LD entries in the W region. I've vetted a couple of times in the PS region for Lynne Glazer, and although she was not using the AERC LD BC, she was being very creative with how to be user-friendly for LD riders. It was at her Norco Riverdance ride that I judged all 70 or 80 or whatever LD entries for a Top 5 High Vet Score. Although PS has been slow about getting on the bandwagon with AERC BC, they have been sufficiently LD-friendly in so many other ways that I agree--it has kept their entries up. I've wanted to go look at that region as well for my stats, and I just haven't had time. I know it is a different LD environment in general than in the W region.
