RE: [RC] If horses don't care..... - heidias Howard has said, then BC on LDs is a moot point. Why have a BC if the horses don't care? While Howard is correct that the horses don't give a bent nickel for the award itself or whether or not it is published, I'm sure that they DO appreciate the better-educated riders that result from the feedback given them when they show for LD BC. In the past, Howard has openly supported anything that promotes horse welfare. To those of us who have had long experience with LD BC, the positive horse welfare implications are obvious. The frustration comes in somehow not being able to relay those implications to those who have their minds so firmly made up in opposition.
