RE: [RC] LD/BC - heidiHeidi -- What statistics are you referring to whereby you conclude where and in what numbers horses are being overridden? Or are we just discussing an extrapolated opinion? Bruce Haven't paid attention to the treatment reports for the past few years, but in years past, those were discussed at the veterinary CE at the AERC convention each year. And there weren't any higher treatment rates in the "BC" regions than in any others. There is a certain amount of "extrapolated opinion" as well--from the years that I vetted upwards of 20 rides a year and simply didn't see problems with the LD horses, despite the fact that I judged LD BC by the AERC method at each and every one. Check out the vet from the SE region who also posted his experience to back this up--"extrapolated opinions" from docs like him who vet LD horses weekend after weekend tend to hold more water than "theories" from people who have no experiences from which to extrapolate...
