I really don't care whether I go for BC or
not. In fact, I usually don't. Since I am an older worn out body
AERC rider, I love 25s because they are SHORT! Give me a nice LD, I can
still come to ride camp, I can still take juniors, I can still have fun, I can
still visit with old friends and meet new ones, I can even go out and crew for
the 50s if I wanna, I can eat ice cream all I want, but most important I am
still part of the gang whether I do a 50, 100, or LD. BC should be
standard but the most important thing is to come and ride at a distance that I
am comfortable at. I do like the fact that it is the accumulation of miles
that puts one into the regional awards. That helps to keep the racing
down. I can remember when I was younger thinking that LDs were a piece of
cake. Now that I am older, I am quite thankful the LDs have taken
hold. Jeanie
