Re: [RC] A Crew Question?!? - rides2far@xxxxxxxxAlso, I already asked once, but would folks in the SE be interested in a concession truck coming to the rides?? It would mean possibly losing my crew, but if it means that everyone gets to eat, I'd be >>willing to give him up (a little). Hey Mary, The person to ask about the concession truck is the ride manager...and the earlier the better. If the manager doesn't plan to have food available they might appreciate a food truck coming. If the manager happens to be selling food you could be unwanted competition. Some venues have a restaraunt on the premesis and may get upset so I'd say it's very important to have permission to set up shop. That said..often dealing with providing the food is a hassle for the manager and a losing proposition financially so if they knew in advance you were available they might want to put something on their flyer saying the concession truck would be there. Contacting them far enough ahead of time to allow that would be important. That would also help the riders. If they've already brought all the food they need they're less likely to buy, but some would probably be very interested if they knew in time to allow for it...so I'd try to get a mention on the entry form if possible. P.S. I would discourage your husband from mixing with other crews. They might form a union and then we'd be ruined!
