[RC] [RC]AQAH vs AHA (was AHA Sweepstakes Program from the horses mouth... ) - Nat NelsonA more successful association for 'us average riders' who are not rich or have rich daddy's is the AQHA. I am seriously considering no longer owning Arabians >> I beg to differ! There are a lot of 'us average riders' in all associations. AQHA has more simply due to the numbers - as it is afterall the largest breed registry. Therefore the 'us average rider' are more visable in the AQHA than other assocations. However AQHA has it's wealthy set as well, with plenty of "rich daddys". The AQHA has the Incentive Fund, which in the long run can exceede the cost of nominating a stallion in the Arabian's Sweepstakes Program. In AQHA the a stallion must be nominated each year based on the amount of mares he covered the previous year, ranging from $300 to $3,000 per YEAR! Just with the AHA showring the more popular stallions get the most mares. So the popular stallions in the IHA are only paying $3000 fee to be nominated the popular stallions in AQHA are paying that EVERY YEAR! So there are plenty of money revolving in both associations ;) Just ride the horse you want. Personally raise Quarter Horses and Paints, but ride an Arabian in endurance. ~Nat~ Buckeye, AZ __________________________________ Yahoo! Music Unlimited Access over 1 million songs.
