As for the Shirt size issue, RM's why don't you put your shirt size on the
entry form and for the few 100 milers out there, set aside those specific shirts
til the deal is done and you'll have your 'proper' shirt size when the time
comes, even if you have to wait to get it...keep 'em all happy...and NO, I do
NOT think a 25 mile top 10 award should be the same as a 100 mile award.
At the rides I've gone to everyone who completed got a shirt, and the top 10's
were always 'stuff' and the smaller 'stuff' should go to the rides with the
least mileage - in a dog show you wouldn't give the silver bowl to the dog that
won it's class, nope, it goes to the one that wins the breed, better yet the
group...
Ok -- Its getting a little out of hand
here. We don't want to run anyone off! ;-)
Lets remember to respect each other....even
if we chose a different distance and speed. There will always be bad
apples in anything we choose to do in life.
Many of us would have never made it to
our first 50 or 100, if we didn't have fun, and build confidence at
our first 25! And don't forget that 25 you tried after you/your horses
injury...............
Also remember the bills paid by the 25 mile
riders. These rides are the most popular, and these
enteries literally pay some expenses for the 100s. (and those
nice prizes they deserve that were earlier mentioned)
A 25 mile LD ride is just a nice little
trail ride. I,m an old retired endurance rider & I ride 25 miles all the
time just for fun. It,s something anyone can do. What,s makes you think you
deserve to be recognized???? Judy
