Fw: [RC] where do I fit? - Dot WigginsI'm 75, have ridden 50s, 75s, 100s from 1980 till couple years ago. Have a 9yr old horse that is fit, correct, tough, could easily do a 100. I have found that "Limited" Distance is what I choose to do now. I think I could do a 50, I know the horse can, but I don't think I have anything to prove to anyone. Would you prefer I not ride at an AERC LD ride, since I am not a newbie, nor is the horse a green youngster? And yes, I've paid AERC dues every year, even those years I didn't ride at all. I've never felt like a "second class" rider, no matter where we finished, or the distance. No one can put you down unless you let them. This thread has gone on much longer than usual, pretty well worn out now, no one has said anything new for several days. Move on. .Original Message ----- From: "Don Huston" <donhuston@xxxxxxx> To: "Jody Rogers-Buttram" <dragnin100@xxxxxxxxx>; <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 19, 2005 8:26 PM Subject: Re: [RC] novice class, LD taken seriously etc. Jody, You have expressed my opinion about the purpose of LD very well. It is and should remain a conditioning ride for new riders and or new horses period.
