RE: [RC] Ortho/Reactor-P/etc - Jim HollandRay, have you ever RIDDEN in an RP? I have two of them and in over 50 years of riding horses in just about every saddle known to man, I have never felt more comfortable, secure, or closer to my horse than with the RP. The panels actually "conform" to the horse's back over time. Like everything else, moderation is best in all things. Too "thin" can be detrimental to the comfort of the HORSE (which to me is the primary concern) ESPECIALLY in treed saddles. IMHO, a skito pad, or any other pad for that matter will not provide a horse the comfort of the RP panels with the "close contact" feeling you need for the comfort and security of the rider. It would be interesting to see what an impression pad would show under your saddle with the "razor thin" bars. Jim, Sun of Dimanche+, and Mahada Magic Richard T.
