What I can't understand is this: I present
my horse barefoot and say I'll be wearing hoof coverings for the ride. Okay. I
return for final vet check and they want the boots off for the final
examination. Why? If Doimas is sore, he'll be sore with or without
boots. By the same token, if he's sound, he'll be sound without boots.
So, if I present for the initial vetting with him wearing the boots, why
should they be off for the final check?
*yes, this does not make
sense all.....if the horse is going to be doing the ride booted....then
present the horse booted at the check in trot out....okay, then remove maybe
boots so vet can check for any rubbing, etc......same with final vet check end
of ride.....trot horse booted and then maybe remove to check for
rubbing....
If the horse is doing the ride booted,
illogical to make him trot out barefoot.....would be like making folks
pull shoes for the trot out....
