RE: [RC] Rude Riders Revisited - Jannelle Wilde & Adam FalkMy hubbie is the main rider in our family and I spend much of my time waiting for him as a P&R person. We are "out west" as it were and while each ride varies some, I've worked with Anna Sampson for several years now and we've got this method down cold. When a rider comes in, she records the time. When the horse pulses down, that is when the hold time begins. Riders check out with the timer. At the finish line, for all but LDs, the in times are recorded as they come in. If there are a group of riders together, they get the same minute plus .01, .02, .03 etc. There are plenty of competitive folks in the PNW and this seems to work well and I believe is in keeping with the "spirit and letter of the law". But I haven't seen it much in the west. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
