Years ago in a Montana feed store I saw this sign over the cash register to discourage wheeler-dealers types from haggling with the owner. "IF YOU WANT TOP QUALITY OATS THEN YOU MUST PAY A FAIR PRICE BUT IF YOU WANT OATS THAT HAVE ALREADY PASSED THRU THE HORSE THEN I WILL GIVE YOU A SPECIAL DEAL!" Don't be afraid to verbally slap those rude morons around. Hell it costs $2000 just to feed hay to a horse for 5 years plus worming, vaccinations, shoes, training, tell them to go shop at a ranch in their price range.
