RE: [RC] Dogs/horse wormer in horse poop? - Lauren E. ReitzConsidering how much a horse poops in 24 hours and that the drug is absorbed into the body and expelled over some time, I wouldn't be too worried about the dogs overdosing on wormer in the poop. I've never heard of a dog becoming sick from wormer in poop and I've known plenty of dogs that love their road apples! FYI, Ivermectin/Pyrantel is the active ingredient in dogs' Heartgard. 272mcg Ivermectin/100lbs and 227mg Pyrantel/100lbs. Ivermectin is also recommended by some vets to rid domestic rats of mites. One rice grain sized squirt of good ol' Ivermectin horse wormer per rat. -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ridecamp Guest Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2005 9:47 AM To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] Dogs/horse wormer in horse poop?
