[RC] New Manager-Awards? - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Karen Nelson knelson4299@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Over 20 years has brought many finishing awards. T-Shirts are always good, as the years pass and rides are gone, but not forgotten, like Ojai. I have finished last a number of times and one tail end award was a nice basket of items like a small flashlight and Prep H creme, along with items I don't remember. The cups from Morgan Springs and Littlerock Lions club bring up questions when I serve someone coffee who isn't a rider. That leads to lots of questions from potential future riders. The most expensive award ( I think) I got was for the Grimes Pass 100, which was a heavyweight winter blanket with a tail flap. I swear the award cost as much as I paid for my entry. One reason for lots of us asking for the large t-shirts is because like me, many of us have had weight flucuations of as much as 40+ pounds. Giving the ride photo in a holder is also good, because the photo person doesn't get discouraged when not enough people buy the pics to make up for the time and cost of being there. I ALWAYS buy my pics just to make sure the person will keep coming back again and again. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
