Well, I have a recommendation for you. A friend of mine in Idaho (very near Steph Teeter's place) has some horses that are incredible when it comes to their attitude and temperament. My friend's name is Diane Avery - she conditions and trains the horses of some top riders and is absolutely incredible at what she does. I'm talking from personal experience. She is breeding some wonderful horses - several of them right now have had endurance experience - are extremely level headed, raised in the mountains, are tough, and again - their attitudes are incredible. If you want a horse with a good mind - you might want to talk to her. I can't say enough about them. Diane is a true mountain woman and doesn't have a computer. You can, however contact her via cell phone - see what she's got available. Most of all, however, I can vouch for her honesty. Raising and training her horses is her love - not her business. Also - her horses' conformation are so correct and solid. I know of one horse she's got - a grey - that is very mellow, absolutely gorgeous, and has already done some LD's I think.

Have had bad accident and in process of getting over fear issues. Have come a long way but am looking for a horse that is real level headed and not real sensitive to a rider that may tense up now and then. I would still like to get back to endurance so it would be nice to have a horse who could do a couple rides a year. Anyone have a real trustworthy horse they need to find a home for? Thanks "chilled"
