I think once you gelded your horse, it pretty much took away monetary value for an even exchange. Did you not ride your horse at all before you gelded him? How long did you own the horse until you found out he's not putting on weight and that he gets sick after riding him? Again, the vet exam would have taken care of all of that. It's frustrating to just say "could have, would have, should have", and I hope you guys find a happy medium.
