Ok, first I have NEVER gone home right after a ride, second, it's 80 miles from my house, he hung out for 3+ hours after the ride, eating, dozing, etc. and it was raining and I felt he'd be more comfortable in his own stall with his own buddies, dry, warm, etc.  The awards ceremony was going to be held after every rider was in and that didn't look like it was going to happen for at least a couple more hours, I didn't want to be on the roads that late on a Sat. night driving through Portland and all the drunks on the road.  So, both our BC's I've missed at the awards.  (Slept through the first one!)
