I used the new, rolled-top gaiters (Epics on front and Bares on hind) atDavenport Dare, and did not wrap his pasterns with vetwrap or anything. The new gaiters did FINE in all that deep sand. We did a lot of cantering, and even galloped the last 1/4 mile to the finish, and all boots stayed on without rubbing :-D ALSO, since doing the last 100-miler, I realized the boots were on the horse for nearly 24 hrs. with no problms, so at Bryce XP I started putting the boots on the night before the ride, and have had no problems.
