a pleasure! It's pretty cool to look at the
progress in technology over the past 10 years - the first ride we covered was
Kansas in '96 - Mike Maul sending emails and helping with technical stuff - an
early digital camera (polaroid?? can't even remember) with limited storage
capacity, transferring vetgate info via floppy disc from their machine to
ours (I think I had John's laptop - big, heavy, clunky machine) - Mike had a
laptop too? slow phone modem, using telnet to update files.
Just imagine 10 years from now!

I can not believe how unbelievable the NAEC coverage was...everything
from the information available during the heat of competition, to the photos,
to the videos, to the fiddle music during the BC Trot-outs, and so
forth.
