I just wanted to post that I had an arabian mare stolen from the Roseville Livestock Auction on Sunday 10-09-05..."This type of thing is the reason we need a national livestock ID system. Yes, all the proposed systems can be gotten around, but this looks like a spur of the moment larceny. If all the horses involved were positively ID able, the tracking would be much easier. Even if she finds her mare, it will be hard for her to identify her positively enough to convince disinterested, city dwellers that it is her mare. Ed.
