RE: [RC] wide horse/wide saddles - Ranelle RubinI have a very wide Doc son who is 6 and still getting withers, not to mention is very fat! I have an original Skyhorse saddle that works well if I use a crupper. No dry spots or sore spots. It may not work if your horse has a very short back. Just a thought? I suspected my Wintec 2000 (even with the x wide gullet in) was not fitting right and when I stepped up the conditioning the dry spots behind the withers and white hairs started showing up. Have read all the posts about Duetts, Wintec Wide, and Synergist, and checked out the websites. A new Synergist is out (financially). Is there anyone who has experience with all or several of these saddles. All input greatly appreciated. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
