Re: [RC] thrush - Mary Ann Spencer

I started using thrushbuster last summer and I find it works and the horse doesn't get as bothered as when using the daily iodine or as messy as the bleach which also makes the horse annoyed.  One side effect is the purple which can spill over onto the hoof wall but only looks funny.  My gelding had fine cracks along the lower part of the hoof wall which are receding now as I get on top of the thrush.  mas

Thrushbuster is my farrier's recommendation.  It's purple, so you know where
it is.  It stays on the foot for a LONG time, and it really has cleaned up my
mare's feet.  Best thing is you don't have to apply it every day.  I always
try to remove as much yucky tissue as possible, then douse everywhere that looks
infected with Thrushbuster.  Best of luck,  jeri
