RE: [RC] 88 WEC Trail - Teri Hunter"All of the Florida rides are flat." - I guess you haven't rode some of the Florida rides that I have. Florida rides don't have mountains but the terrain is not UAE terrain. Try traversing through woods where you have to have your knees in your chest so you don't leave one on a tree. Riding up hills that 4 wheelers ride with sand really deep. Riding through trails that water is girth deep for hundreds of yards. (Mostly due to hurricanes). Jumping over downed trees (now that is fun... I love it) Most of the terrain is beautiful and challenging not flat and fast..... Come see for yourself we still have plenty of ride season going on down here before the heat comes. I beg to differ. There are many flat endurance rides in the good old USA. All of the Florida rides are flat. MN, MI, and WI rides are flat. There are many more flat rides, but I have only mentioned those that I know for sure are flat. Endurance is many sports with many venues. Flat or hilly is not the problem. Being willing to risk everything, especially the horse, for one race that is the problem.
