[RC] Lori's Oregonian Endurance Story - Jonni

Thanks for the link John. Here is my favorite part of the article  (a
quote)from Julie Suhr:

I finished 98 1/2 of those miles. I had to get off of my horse because I
felt dizzy. I kept tilting to the left in the saddle. I told my friend to go
on and I sat on a rock. I was disappointed that my family and friends
weren't going to see me at the finish line.
"But I sat there and twisted my horse's forelock between my fingers, tickled
her chin and talked to her. It was just me and my horse under the moon. I
was very serene." <<<

After reading the past few days about a race, very different than our sport
here, I wonder how many of those riders take the time to connect with their
horse, tell them thank you, and just share a moment like this with them.
