Re: [RC] horses sight unseen - Chris PausI'm a seller and I've met two of the four Internet buyers I've had. I do a lot of checking on people. So far all my buyers have been endurance riders, or people known to the endurance community, which is a fairly small community in horsedom! So far, all my babies have gone to wonderful homes and all but one buyer has kept in touch with me, sent me photos of the horse growing up, given me progress reports, etc. My buyers have turned out to be great new friends! So far, everyone has been in the Central Region where I ride. Can't wait for the day when we'll have three or four BayRabs at the same ride. That will be fun! The only horse sale I've had that I really regretted because the buyer turned out awful, was for a grown mare and people I met in person and even visited their farm to inspect where she would be living. So, getting to know them in person doesn't alwasy ensure that things will go well. chris --- Jillcohndc@xxxxxxx wrote: I hear from the buyer's end but what about the seller? I sure want to have a sense of what kind of person my dear friend is going to spend--hopefully--a good many years of her/his life with. Sometimes one can get a true sense over the phone/email, etc. But for my peace of mind I'd like to meet 'em in the flesh.
