Re: [RC] Improving/evolving WEC - Truman PrevattIt's not our choice - it's the FEI's choice and I suspect many countires are very happy with the current format. The current format not only crowns the world champion - it test the progarm of each country. Ours hasn't faired very well in the past 3 WECs. There have been sub 8 hour 100's in the AERC from time to time, but they aren't common. Today they are common at this level. The UAE, French, Aussies have raised the bar on the sport at this level. Our 100's may have gotten a little faster but we are being left behind at the top of the sport.Quite frankly I am in awe of any horse that can do a sub 8 hour 100. My hat is off to the horse, trainer and rider. We've basically been passed by in the sport we invented. If we want to be more than "also rans" someone better figure out how to reverse this trend.
