Re: [RC] [RC] WEC riding equitation-not - Laurie DurginThat "feet way forward thing" is what saddleseat riders do here, and Racking horse riders--maybe it is related to the orginal gaited horses things , like Peruvian Paso's and Paso Fino's , they say they sit back to 'free up ' the horses shoulders and get fancier movement.Prevailing thought among female trainers is men do it for --ehhh---self protection. Ever see old prints of English hunting --same thing-- they sat , waaaayyyy back and used the reins for balance, ended up being really 'behind' the horses movement. maybe those riders are influenced by the "older versions" and haven't caught up with the balance of the body over the horses center of gravity, etc......
