[RC] where are they now (2002 WEG horses) - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Kathy Brunjes brunjesk@xxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Thanks, Laura for giving everyone a run-down on where the 6 horses are today (those who went to Spain in 2002). You wondered where Ali Darkness is...well, he's fat and furry in Maine! Seriously, as he grew older, some of his earlier injuries(fractured shoulder in 1999, then after coming home from Spain, fractured knee from a pasture accident early 2003) caught up to him, and I have semi-retired him to 50 mile events...after trying to bring him back from the fractured knee, it became apparent that he would no longer be able to do 100s....however, he's doing 50s just fine (we did three in 2004, with one BC) and this spring my mother (72 years young) will be competing on him, doing both CTR and limited distance endurance - and I'll "borrow" him every now and then to do a 50. He's currently in training for his Level I dressage (something we've been working on, on-and-off for a couple of years)- he's staying active, he hasn't disappeared.
