Why don't you ask the group?  I they are, they can
give you a copy of their 501(C)3 form from the IRS. 
Anyone who wants proof that a group is a not for
profit under the IRS code (meaning that your donation
to them is tax deductible) should ask for a copy of
this form.  If you get a hard time about getting a
copy of this form, then maybe you should reconsider
donating.
