You can tell I rely on my spell
checker too much, maliciously is spelled right, but certainly not the right
one -- Meticulously was the word it was supposed to be.

Tosha Duncan, just turned 17,
finished her first 100 after only 2 weeks of completing her first 50, on
my horse Rambo Bay, a 15-3, 12YO Gelding
Camp Far West was her first
ride. We had a little discussion after she came in 2nd at lunch.
Hard to say a whole bunch when the horse looks so good. She ended up 4th
with runner up BC.
She started the VC100 on Rambo
Bay. We used the new composite Griphorseshoes from www.GripHorseShoes.com because of
the terrain and the asphalt involved. She was also riding in the new
FreeForm treeless saddle and HAF pad from Italy. All of which preformed
maliciously.
Tosha was in the mid 20's at the 25
mile lunch stop. She moved up to 9th at the Washoe. Came in to
lunch at the 50 mile mark with Rambo looking good and about 12 or
so.
I vetted Rambo through at the end of
the 75 mile loop. He got all "A's" and "HOOT" from the vet at the end of
his trot out. He said that this was the first horse that got all "A's" and
no "B's"
Vet check at mile 95 got a similar
comment from the vet about how fresh Rambo looked.
Tosh ended up 13th with a very fresh
horse and a happy owner. She got to ride with some of the best endurance
riders in the world.
A lot had to do with Rambo who has 7
years of conditioning. Also, lots of things happen when you take 60#'s of
a horse.

look for the Virginia City 100 link.
