Re: [RC] poison oak etc. - Lynne GlazerGreat site.Since nobody has pointed it out, for some of us the homeopathic Rhus toxicodendron is a miracle concoction. Lots of opinions at <http:// poisonivy.aesir.com/view/homeopathic.html> Major allergy here. I was immune to poison oak until age 19, got poison ivy in KY and after that was so sensitive to it that it would *never* go away without a steroid shot after futile series of oral steroids first. Once after only touching the oils on a jeep's steering wheel I landed in a military hospital for a week on high dose IV steroids, eyes swollen shut, weeping/cellulitis on my face and a whole lot of other places (systemic reaction). Now I feel safe to travel around the stuff because the Rhus tox or ivy combo remedies work like magic, defusing the itch and eliminating the reaction. It's been probably almost ten years since I found this stuff, and just keep it around instead. My first exposure to homeopathics, and I just can't argue with results like this--talk about cutting expenses, a little bottle of this stuff costs less than $10 and lasts a long time compared to the doctor bills and pharmacy bills. Never experienced sensitivity to mangos FWIW. Thanks for the poop about the Zanfel.
