[RC] What to do ...Poison ivy, oak ... - Diana Peterson

Here is what I found to help me a great deal.

Wash the affected area with dishwashing liquid ( any). Use paper towels , do not tought area twice with the same towel. Foam/leather up the dish liquid( touch the area lightly ) then rinse with warm water. Here is a little trick that works great...lets say you have it on your arms or legs. USe dish soap and paper towels ..then rinse with warm water ..adding more hot water as you go. Rinse as hot as you can take it, just the affected area. It will tingle or sting a little. But you will be itch free for several hours.
The dish soap will take care of the oils of the plant. the hot water will help rinse the oils off more easily. Then use 2% cortisone cream . I buy mine at wallmart it is a knock off brand. WORKS great . and the whole thing will take no more then a week or 10 days .
I use this method every time i get poison Ivy. I do this several times a day ...it REALLY works.!!!!!

use latex gloves if you have any.
