Re: [RC] [RC] California Recreational Trails Committee - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Linda B. It?s hard to imagine getting some of the more active trail advocates out there to the meeting. Is it being held there just to be able to say there is not much support? Yes. That is exactly why it is being held there. It is being held there because they know the Sierra Club/hikers will send a representative anyway (quite probably a paid professional with an expense account and an Environmental Law degree from Stanford), and they know IMBA/mountain bikers will send a representative anyway (if not a paid professional, at least a volunteer attorney who has read California public land law), and they know that the horse people will maybe send one person, but maybe not, and that person will be mostly concerned that everybody else there "Just isn't being fair!" Welcome to the big leagues. This is hardball. Stop whining and learn to play. Show up anyway. Linda B.
