Sleeping?  No worries, you will be awake much of the night wondering if the
horse is sleeping.  Don't wake the horse, the horse will be resting except
when you get up for a bed check :-)  oh, and another exception:  intervals
of bucket music music.  Horses make bucket music at night:  ka-thunk,
scrayyyype, slosh slosh, ka-thunk ka-thunk, screeeetch, ka-thunk, whump
whump...  you awake yet?  It's been12 minutes since my last welfare check!
Bring a cookie!

Don't worry about sleeping.  It will be days before you get any sleep.
