RE: [RC] [AERCMembersForum] Increase in ride fees - heidibut that aside, I think it to be totally false that a $5 increase in day member fees effects the ability of a ride manager to put on a rides. The non-member day fee goes entirely to AERC. The per-rider fee still has to come out of the "regular" entry fee. So I agree, an argument that the non-member day fee increase is helpful to ride managers doesn't make sense. That said, I've never liked the non-member day fee (same logic that Joe has offered) so can't speak to supporting or not supporting that increase. I'm amenable to a reasonable increase in dues as well as to the increase in the rider fee. Being a member has certain benefits, but I also like the rider fee increase because those of us who ride pay for some of the additional services that we get through the rider fees, rather than having those things funded just by a dues increase, which is paid even by non-riding members.
