We are researching automatic waterers to install in our field. Right now I
am leaning to the traditional with the small heated basin that fills
automatically. My husband noticed an ad for one called "horsedrinker", you
can see it at www.horsedrinker.com
This one does not use electricity so there is no danger of shocking the
horses, plus less of a hassle to install. The drawback is the water basin is not
full all the time. The animals must bump a pad on the bottem to fill the pan,
then the water drains out again so it doesn't freeze. We have horses and cattle
and I'm concerned there will be some in the bunch that won't figure out how to
get water out of it. Is anyone using this waterer?
Thanks
