[RC] Thin saddle pads/blankets - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Sharon Hahn sharon.hahn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I've used a plain blanket before, but you do have to be really careful to smooth it out. I've switched to a Western wool felt "underpad" as my sole pad. They are about 1/4" - 3/8" thick, real cheap ($10-15), and you can use it alone even though the guy in the Western saddle shop might look alarmed if you tell him this. Available through numerous catalogs, too. I'm a great believer in "if the saddle fits, why do you need to spend big bucks on a corrective pad?" Is that a hypothetical worry or a possible true problem? Any other suggestions for a VERY thin very light very breathable natural fiber blanket/pad? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
