[RC] Moving to Michgan - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: rob losey jrlosey@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Hi, and welcome to Michigan. I'm new to the sport. Didn't do my first ride until after I turned 50. I was shocked! This is unlike anything I've ever been involved in. Went to my frist race and everyone, Yes, everyone I met involve with the sport was quick to extend a hand and wecome you. Jeanie Miller who wrote the last post, has done it all and is always happy to help. Don't know her age, but she was around when they invented endurance racing, and may have had some imput when they invented the horse. She still rides like a kid. Full of excitment and energy. She would be a great one to hook up with. She has started a new carrier of training new juniors in the sport. I love Michigan and the back of a horse, (or Mule), is the best way to see it. I've only done three 25 mile LDs, but hope to do a lot more. I top 10ed and got best of breed on one 25 mile leg of the Shore to shore on my third race. I'm looking forward to next year. Rob PS - Top 10 and best of breed. There was only 10 entries and I had the only Mule. :-) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
