He did 2000 laps to go 200 miles - I think he changed horses after 20 laps, or every 2 miles. 10 laps = 1 mile ... sounds like a pretty small ring to be riding 200 miles. He took a couple of breaks for a few min. himself but not much more. They did gallop the whole time. I wish I still had the article.
