[RC] Historic Ride and Tiers - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Pat Bush tailspin@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I grew up in western Oregon several miles from a town called Noti. The story goes that an Indian and a White man were traveling with one horse. One would ride and the other run. The rider would tie and take off running. You get the picture - modern day ride and tie, right? The story continues that the Indian got tired of leaving the horse and running and said "Me NO TIE." Thus the name of the town - Noti. Don't know if it's just a tale someone made up or if it actually happened. My family lived there from 1896 until 1984. My mother was born on the land.
