I have used Equitrol for several summers now and have never had an experience that you described. As a matter of fact, this summer my two horses are in training for our city mounted posse and are really learning faster and better than most of the other horses on the squad. Plus, it really does keep the flies down and the "muck-itch" at bay around my place. Seems as though it may be dose related or just the individual horse's reaction to it... Rabon is a toxic chemical--if it didn't have a degree of toxicity, it wouldn't work. And as with all toxic chemicals, some individuals have better tolerance than others.
