I have the pipe type on my Dodge 2500 as well. I haven't had a problem with
slippage yet (although I probably will tonight now that I've said it). When I
originally purchased the pipe type running boards, I also bought big strips of
adhesive sandpaper to adhere to the step-up areas. They're durable enough to
last a while and can be easily replaced (and only a few dollars). I have yet
to put them on (have a list of things to do 3 feet long these days).
Julienne (5'2", also suffers the "slim skirt challenge" when getting into the
truck)
& Isabella (14'2", matches well with mom) ;)
