Ask for "Porterfield" Brakes....they specialize in racing, and make the BEST
brakes ever...a bit more expensive, but last longer and do a better job.

I am sure that the truck can pull the trailer.  The thing I always look at
is how much brakes do you have.  This size truck, like any half ton truck
does not have enough brakes to do the job of pulling a trailer with horses
in it.  JMO.  That is way I always go for at least a 3/4 ton truck, they
have much bigger brakes among other things.
