Re: [RC] Best Hauling Girly Truck? - Lynne Glazer

Well, I've sure liked my Dodges. The first went about 200K for me (and 200K for another guy) and the second is almost to 100K. Automatic, 6 cyl diesel. The newest ones are very quiet and have robust trannies. Those Allisons I looked very hard at but went with the Dodge (and it's my only vehicle).

In Dabney's defense: where they currently live has the entrance-from- hell for an LQ or even my 4h gn w/dressing rooom. From a narrow two lane twisty road, it's almost a hairpin to swing wide and then through their gate. Or going back out.

Dabney, if you can handle it, get a standard cab. SO much more manueverable, U turns in the left turning lane even!

Lynne
my gooseneck mantra, "swing wide, and when in doubt, take it slow..."

Those of you who read my Tevis story will not be surprised to learn we've decided the time has come for a new truck. (Even Suzy hated driving that big old stick-y shift diesel.)

What I'm looking for is a nice "girly truck," automatic, that won't use up a bunch of gas, and as small as possible while still being able to pull the hills towing the LQ. (I wanted to get a new, smaller one of those too, but Gary says all I need are some LQ driving lessons--GRRR!)

Thanks everyone!
